    mobo, cpu, fsb settings

    hello people

my computer seemed to run slow after new mobo installation so i ran everest home and saw that my amd1200(fsb266) was running at 900.  wanted to get it back up to stock speed so i went to bios and raised the frequency to from 100 to 133.  (multiplier 9 is locked i believe)  so 9x133 sounds good.  also raised fsb to 133 and jumpered the mobo to 133.  everything is stable and running faster.  Just wanted to know if I did everything OK.  I never had to mess with these settings before so just checking.

    thanks

You did it perfectly!  Before you were "underclocked", which is not a problem.  You are now running where it is designed to run.  BTW, the memory runs at the FSB speed, if it's DDR memory, it's 266.

      thanks C_C

yes its ddr.  256/266 and added 512/333 (i know it will run at 266 but it was cheaper than 266).  Good to know reading the forums is paying off!  thanks again!
