    sudden unfixable problem
    « on: February 20, 2009, 10:41:53 PM »
i recently got a new computer (http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/desktop-studio-slim?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19 Vista Home Premium and its Intel Core 2 Quad if it makes a difference). I also got a Linksys Wireless-G usb adapter (http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/products/WUSB54GC) to connect to my router (http://www.netgear.com/Products/RoutersandGateways/WirelessGRouters/WGR614.aspx). Occasionally i would turn on my computer and it wouldnt connect to the network and i would try to manually connect but it wouldnt go. i would restart my computer and it was fixed. that happened a few times but today it was different, restarting it didnt work. its still not working, it says the network password is incorrect, but i didnt mess with the password the slightest bit since i got it. except for after the problems started i re-entered the network password with no success. i know it is the correct password because the laptop im on is using the same network i was using, and i re-entered the password on this computer to the network and it worked fine. I have uninstalled the USB adapter and reinstalled it, unplugged the adapter and let it set at room temp for about 7 hours, and repeatedly tried to re-enter the password with no success. Im sure ive supplied you with all the info. you will need, please help. Thank You.
