    Vista ultimate excessive cpu usage

    I just bought Vista Ultimate yesterday.  Installed just fine.  With one problem....  Even idle, it is always using at least 25% cpu.  The program using it is always different.  But most of the time is it svchost.  Any idears?

    i have an amd phenom 9600 2.3ghz
    4gb ram
    windows vista ultimate sp1
    avast antivirus
    comodo firewall


    i am doing the removal  guide at the moment.  Will post logs soon.

          One problem with this though...When I was running the scan, it said it couldn't access the HOST.  What is this?  Is it a problem?

            You have to right click HJT and Run as Administrator with Vista or it won't work right.
