My computer wont let me install virus protection by cd or by download if I download it will tell me that the server was reset and I am not connected to the internet when I know that I am connected. If I try by cd My computer doesn't recognize that there is a cd in the drive and I know there is nothing wrong with the cd because I tried it on another computer. If I try to download something like windows live one care it will take hours and then after waiting it will say set up can not complete not a valid windows 32 application. I cant use windows update or download virus protection. I tried reinstalling windows xp again and again and this did not help a dell tech came and instaled a new modem but that didnot help. So I pretty much can't get on line because I can't install protection. I can't use some of my cds because the computer doesn't see them. Can anyone help please.
