Please help... computer keeps reverting to blue screen of death

I was installing McAfee and uninstalling Norton Antivirus when this happened.  Now whenever I start up my desktop, it briefly goes to my normal windows desktop screen before reverting to the blue screen.  I've tried to install McAfee during safe mode, but it doesn't install or fix the blue screen problem.

Anyone have any suggestions?

First of all, McAfee makes the absolutely worst software in the world. I strongly urge you not to use it. BTW, what was wrong with Norton AV?

As for the bsod, you may have to do this from safe mode if you can't get to your desktop:
Download BlueScreenView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.
when scanning is done, go to EDIT - Select All
Go to FILE - SAVE Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all of the content, and paste it into your next reply

So I did what you said... downloaded the zip file, extracted all the files and clicked on the icon.  The window popped up, but nothing was there for me to "select all" and copy.

Okay. Have you completely uninstalled Norton? Please tell us exactly how far you got in that process (uninstall / installation of McAfee) before the problem arose.
