    write protection on computer

    hello everyone, and anyone that can help me will be greatly appreciated!!!!!
    i am having problems with hooking up any external harddrive (500g,1TB), and all flash drives(1g,2g,8g) to my computer and moving files from main PC harddrive to these tools; i can not delete, modify, or do any such things to my files on these tools. this is what appears every single time i try"THE DISC IS WRITE-PROTECTED.REMOVE THE WRITE-PROTECTION OR USE ANOTHER DISC."
    I know its something wrong with this computer b/c i have used all these tools at my office and there is no problem???? i can edit my files, erase them move them from flash drive to pc to hard drive WHATEVER I want to do with them

        could it be a anti-virus program or firewall?? just asking b/c i have avast and spyhunter also avgfree

        It could actually be a virus which has altered your registry. You may have infected your work computers now, which will make your boss very happy!

          ok well how would i find it what could i do to remove it; and the pc at work are mine im the boss but i dont want to look like a dumb boss if anything starts to go wrong lol. im desperate this very frustrating

                OK, I took your advise and got a program(Regcure) to fix my reg. and it fixed over 1300 problems, but still same problems. I don't know if this could be any help but i can move files from my flash drives and external harddrives to the PC but not PC to harddrives or flashdrives; any folder on the whole PC???!!!

                  I found this page of detailed instructions on how to remove the write protection problem for this computer. I hope that everyone that has this problem too will help them too.
