    Browser Problem / Possible Virus
    « on: March 25, 2009, 09:06:42 AM »
Hi, just new to forum and looking for some help if possible...

As soon as I click into my browser it goes on to a page with a warning symbol and it says something like…

Download the latest real time protection….. (When I click on this it takes me on to a page to download something, don't want to do this just in case...

    Or

    Continue without protection

It also says at the bottom of the page that this is a Trojan that can monitor bank details etc

And every 30 minutes or so a Windows Defender thing pops up saying it has detected Win.Avi.exe (something like that)

I scanned with Norton (Full) and Malwarebytes (Full) and both scans were clean…

Is this some sort of false positive??

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
