Problem with supported resolutions in Vista
« on: April 01, 2009, 03:25:26 PM »
I just upgraded to Vista today, and I cannot get 1240 x 1024 resolution. After installing I was able to set the resolution to 1240 x 1024 and even higher. After installing all the updates and my most recent video drivers my highest sported resolution is now 1024 x 768. I have a 19 inch CRT monitor and 2x Gforce 8600 GT going SLI. Please help, I have tried to reinstall my drivers a couple of times, and also have tried to set a custom resolution with my Nvidia control panel where 1240 x 1024 recalled as an error. If anyone knows how to force an unsupported resolution that would be fine, but I would like to fix this problem.

Just to make sure, are you installing Vista drivers for your Video card? What about your Motherboard Chipset drivers?

If you look in Device Manager, are there any Yellow Question or Exclamation Marks?
