    kindly help me know the basic procedures of
    adding or connecting a printer to a
    LAN

      Does you printer have an Ethernet Port on the back of it?

      If it doesn't then buy a Printer Server that has support for either Parallel or USB(which ever your printer connects by)
      If you dont know DOS, you dont know Windows...

      Thats why Bill Gates created the Windows NT Family.

      Can't the LAN access the printer even if it's plugged into a computer?

        Yes this is possible, you have to first of course install the printer then goto your Network Connections in Control Panel and add the File & Printer Sharing service after you click properties on the network connection.
        If you dont know DOS, you dont know Windows...

        Thats why Bill Gates created the Windows NT Family.
