Interesting Chart
« on: April 08, 2009, 09:09:08 PM »
If your wondering what |Mr_Chart| Does, a demo is attached.

I would share the link that has live updates, but, its a relatively bandwidth resource intensive program.
I'm just curious as to how the chart will eventually develop. I can attach them or send them every so often if someone wants to see them, but, it seems that it deletes nicknames after a certain time of not being referred to or being active.

This measures users interactions with eachother.

What relationship(s) is this supposed to depict?

It shows which people interact with who.
In this particular instance, you will notice that Carbon and Myself (Who were experimenting, possibly throwing it off just a little bit...) were in the center of the chart, since we were the two people talking with others. Thats really all it shows, who interacts with who.

The bolder the line, the more a person has been interacting with another person.

EDIT: Uploaded another one, attached to this post.

If there is a lot of interest I'd imagine I could also always implement something like this into how hopebot.

If you know a lot about PircBot API, it wouldent be too difficult.

Its just so difficult to not sit and refresh the image. Both Carbon and I were drawing symmetrical shapes and manipulating the program, forcing it to draw new lines. Its rather fun

It is interesting!  I'd just wanted to be sure I understood it, earlier.
