    Windows 2000 Internet connection Wizard
    « on: May 09, 2009, 06:37:52 PM »

I can't set up an Internet Connection with the ICW. I get all the way to step 3
Step 3 of 3: Configuring your computer

I enter Acmenet for the Configuration name, click Next and then get this error message

"Acmenet is not a valid name. The entry name must contain at least on character that is not a space and cannot begin with a period. Choose a different name."

It doesn't matter what name I put in the box, I still get the error message.

    Fix for this problem please?

Check to make sure that you have no spaces after the name.

Also what kind of internet is it (dail-up, LAN, IDSN)?

It is dial-up.  And no, I have no spaces after the name.

      Try another keyboard.
