    Microsoft Windows Services for Unix
    « on: May 29, 2009, 12:53:29 PM »
Not sure if this is the right place so I did post this topic in the Networking side also because its mostly for NFS but my problem is that I am trying to setup a windows based NFS system and am unable to get the Server for NFS to start.  I am using version 3.5 and when I try to start the Server for NFS I get the error " The service failed to start.  I also try to get the User name mapping setup and it gives me the error " Unable to access User Name Mapping Server.  No maps could be obtained".  Any ideas on how to fix this?

The problem was that the User Name server was disabled by default.  I changed it to automatic and then enabled it and everything worked.
