Thanks ef, I know some of that. Please what does this mean, concerning http and https...It's an excerpt from my email. As I said we have been going back and forth for days about this site.

Sally: This link uses an “https” prefix rather than the usual “http” prefix. I wrote Minna a bit earlier about this, and here’s the email I received just a few moments ago in response to my attached question:
hey Katheryn,
I get server errors anywhere I try to enter the mallplace.com site. Their service provider is probably unhappy with them at the moment. ;-)
As for the https site, mallplace.com SELLS stuff and needs a secure server for that, but I don't know why they would assign secure connection to a simple voting page. Secure pages load a lot slower than regular web pages. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a protocol to transfer encrypted data over the Web. Information is sent in encrypted form, not as plain text. Therefore, a 'sniffer' can't surreptiously retrieve it. But voting fans aren't sending such info, so security is not required.
If someone gets into the https site at mallplace.com -- I'm getting network errors -- they ought to make sure that the URL wasn't redirected to another site. Keep your eye on the browser's status bar as the website loads. Look for the word 'redirect'. I doubt if this is happening.
Hope you had a nice weekend.
