Do you happen to have another bootable CD you can test out ? ?
Was the optical drive working fine ? ?

Optical drive works, do not have another bootable cd though.  Asking around to see if anyone I know does.  I have a usb floppy so I'll probably looking tomorrow to make a bootable floppy.

OK, went home and turned on lap top and it came on...sort of. A Window poped up and said "windows cannot find your local profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile.  Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log out" My programs are still here but I couldnt findany of my files. An advanced search under hidden showed my files were still there. Ran a Malware program and had 3 dings. Rebooted and computer froze again like before.

I have just gotten the computer back on.  Now when I look under hidden all my files are gone.  :'( .  Any ideas on what I should try next while I still have it on?

        See Here

Note: If this try produces no joy-joy you may need to boot into safemode and use the Admin account to copy/move those files...
