    Hi,

I am trying to troubleshoot a PCIe x 1 Firewire Card to see if it is working.
At first I installed it into an ASRock FM2A75M-DGS motherboard that has no onboard IEEE 1394. The card did not show up in Device manager no matter what I did Installing legacy drivers etc.

I then installed it in an Abit AN-M2HD motherboard, this board does have onboard IEEE1394.
On checking the Device Manager, when I expand IEEE 1394 Bus Host Controller, it shows a Texas Instruments 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller.

I then shutdown and installed my Syba PCIe x 1 FireWire Card and booted the PC.
In device manager everything is the same?
Should this additional FireWire Card be present and showing if it's working?
What if I disable onboard 1394 and try again?

When running CPUID the chipset for the onboard IEEE1394 is not listed?
