Really weird problems with XP boot up.
    « on: June 30, 2009, 07:51:15 PM »
I got a mystery that I can't figure it out. My friend has a Toshiba Satellite m35x s311. And yes, I know, really old  :'(. Anyway, the system boots up just fine while under power of the battery OR under the power of the plug(while the battery is out). If the battery is in, and the laptop is plugged into the wall it doesn't want to boot into XP and gives the blue screen.  The antivirus says that there isn't a virus, and I have already gone through Recovery/Repair to repair the boot sector. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

I would list the the specs, but I figured this link would be nicer.

It's probably the circuit that controls the charging of the battery.  How does the laptop behave if you start it and then put the battery into it?
    Evil is an exact science.
