    « on: June 22, 2009, 08:55:12 PM »
Okay so I am having a very hard time connecting an old windows 95 computer to the internet. I installed the drivers for the network card, but cannot figure out how to get online now. I have it hooked up to a wireless reciever(im not too sure exactly what its called lol I use to use it for my PS2) and it says it cannot go online. It is a fresh install. ANybody have a website or something of the sort that can help me? Thanks!

A little confused, using the first link. For domain, can it be any website?

Install the TCP/IP stalk on your PC.

To tell you the truth I tried the same thing with my Windows 95 but it won't go. The problem is your prossesor is to small for the server you are connnected to Wi 95 is no longer compatible to internet Sorry!

Also untrue. it simply needs the TCP/IP protocol installed. (Which I had forgotten about myself)

I've gotten NT 3.51 and Windows 3.11 on the internet so it stands to reason that windows 95 is quite capable of going online.

I have to agree with BC on that one, my buddy is running a mail server with a 386.  The hardware is only an issue when it comes to the software running on it.
