I need a copy of Windows 98. I have lost the copy I had. It came with the computer my Son built for me. I have lost it and need to replace it. Is there any place that I can buy a copy.

I have a link on my website in which you get it free at:

This place has old OS only.
If you prefer to buy a boxed W'98, see amazon.com or ebay.com.

Thanks for the information. I tried the down load it said that it would take 17 hours. I guess I will just buy it.

Free download of a Windows Operating system? Read the rules Neelchauhan.

Despite how old it is, Windows 98 is still copyrighted by Microsoft and is NOT FREE.

actually, you can get free copies of Dos through Windows 95 (might only be Windows 3.1) straight from Microsoft themselves. The only thing is, you have to have a technet subscription, which I think starts at $250/year.

It's still a steal...if you take full advantage of all the perks.
I did a Win2008 open seminar earlier this year locally...
All it cost me was Cab Fare and i probably ate enough to cover this year's subscription in 2 days...

       ;)
