    Unexpected network settings error!
    « on: July 18, 2009, 12:16:34 PM »
I am running Windows XP Media Center Version 2002 on SP2. When I attempt to access network connections settings of an internet connection (both wireless and plugged in) a message pops up.

I have already tried to fix it by using the Microsoft support site.

I am fairly sure it has nothing to do with drivers or my wireless card.

Please no anwsers that need the XP disc. Due to a virus I just reformated with an old recovery disc from a different computer.

What are the EXACT error messages when you do the following:

        1) Start -> Run -> type cmd and press Enter -> type in ipconfig /all and press Enter.
        2) Start -> Run -> type cmd and press Enter -> type in ping www.yahoo.com and press Enter.
        3) Start -> Run -> type cmd and press Enter -> type in netsh int ip reset reset.log and press Enter.

Part of the problem is most people don't generally deal with computer problems. So for most they think that close enough is good enough.
