I like the commodore lol.  No idea what the first case is, but it kinda looks like that one bulldozer case.  The 2nd looks like a antec 900 or 1200 and the last one looks like a coolermaster haf.  And how is that voodoo laptop a gaming computer, cause it has intel graphics.

Thats a lot for 4gb of ram. I'd be happy with the 4gb on the machine you showed me.

My laptop is seriously lacking in gaming capability to be fair, but laptops were never designed to play games. But would it really hurt them to put a decent graphics card in Laptops?

graphics cards run even hotter then the cpu... logic dictates that putting in a closed space would make things worse temp wise.

Ya they are designed to get up to 90c!!  Almost boiling!  Ive seen some people run them at boiling temp too. That would be a nasty burn if you touched it

They can get up to around 60 or 70c .  It really depends on the tj max of the cpu though. I really wouldnt get it any hotter then 20 under then tj max.  Like for me, the tj max of my cpu is 90c, so I really wouldnt want it to get any hotter then 70c.  I still like to keep it cooler then that though.  I dont like heat.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220527&Tpk=4870x2%20laptop
Ive also seen a laptop for around 4k euros with an i7 and 280m sli.  I wanted it so bad but I cant seem to find it now.  It was HUGE and the battery probably lasted around 20min

It's about $500.00 more, and the support with Asus is nowhere near what Toshiba has.

Only if you bump the Toshiba up to 8GB, at the stock 4GB it's $1850.00, the link you provided shows the Asus at $2350.00.  That does look like one sweet video card though.

With the heat my Qosmio generates I can't imagine what that one would be like.  I don't use a cooling pad, I bought my laptop an air conditioner.

Right out of the box mine was on sale for $1550.00 CDN, so you must be able to get it on sale for about $1200.00-1300.00 US.

That's just it Laptop or PC? Obviously the money to power ratio needs considering. I'd probably spend about £1000 so about $1649 US.

Cheers for that I'm a bit lame when it comes to choosing the correct equipment. The computer shops like
Micro direct can sometimes mis-lead you. I will probably buy from there though because they do tend to either build for you or offer sound advice.
