I think that he means to say to check  your Color Management.

I don't see that changing your color depth will solve anything.

      Have you checked your video card properly seated?(If you have one) ....The fact you just moved the computer leads me to believe you may have dislodged the card slightly during your move. The monitor plugs into this card. Remove the card and carefully reseat it. Remember to touch the metal case BEFORE touching the component.....

      karnac i dont think pkb1 knows how to do that
      you can download power strip to adjust color management
      check any items on taskbar
      some you can right click and a video menu come up
