    Youtube Channel
    « on: July 29, 2009, 03:17:48 PM »
I created my own channel on youtube and had a question:

I see that on a lot of other people's pages, the  toolbar that has these buttons are only on the top - "Home  Subscriptions  Videos  Shows  Channels"
I'm not really sure how to explain it - but i want to know how to get rid of it.

For example my pages looks like cbs's - http://www.youtube.com/user/CBS but i want it to look like fox's page http://www.youtube.com/user/foxbroadcasting?blend=1&ob=4

    Can anyone help me?

    Thanks!

(If its unclear what im asking - please say so)

It's not unclear, I understand what you mean.

Do you own a multi-million dollar business, by any chance?

      Yup.  ;D

Well, maybe not multi-million, but you'll need to be somewhat a VIP. I'm sure you could email Google about getting it removed, but I'd say you'll have to pay for it. FOX aren't getting that page for nothing.

It you used CSS or a script to remove it you'd more than likely be banned from the site.

No, maybe not. Now that I think of it, some users (who registered before YouTube changed the site completely a few years ago) have the option to change the layout of their pages, as well as being able to add a background image.

I'm able to add a background picture, do you think I can do the other thing as well?

          you can add background image

go to www.youtube.com, log into your own account, then click on the account link on right top corner of page.

Then in the overview page, you click on edit channel , then channel designs and then you can edit your page like you want it, and that includes uploading an image so it will become your new channel wallpaper/background)

and maybe you can make your page look like Fox's page or whatever from that control panel.

I think I found out how....

Go to your YouTube profile, and click the "Revert! I want my old channel back" button. There, the menu will be gone.
