hi. I have a desktop dell pc runnng windows xp and I am using a linksys wireless G adapter to try and connect it to my wifi max hooked into my old laptop's usb port running windows 2000 and the laptop is also connecting to free dialup. Im trying to connect my desktop pc to the wifi max in the laptop which is connected to free dialup. Every time I try connecting my desktop pc to the wifi max it says the ip address is timed out. this worked before with my wifi usb adapter before it broke. I used to use the wifi usb adapter as a soft ap. If anyone knows what I can do please help me.
