    Slow computer
    « on: August 09, 2009, 10:20:02 AM »
My compaq has been running terribly slow for awhile.  It takes 10 mintutes to boot anything.  I suspect its a virus since I dont have anything on my computer that would take up a lot of space.  Its like something is always running in the background.  Thanks for your help!

Hi Aaron, you could try all the steps in this link. If it's still running slowly after you do all this, then visit Harry's link and post the three logs.

Your HJT log shows no threats according to the process tool, how is your computer running?

Its just slow at opening anything.  My itunes can barely even play music without it skipping.  Also, my battery only last 5 minutes because of something running in the background.
