Hey i was hoping someon could tell me why i can't download the printer info from the dell website? Is it because i might have a firewall prohibiting it. Please help

no, your firewall shouldn't be prohibiting it.

but first of all, what is the manufacturer and model of your printer? Do you need the drivers or something else for your printer?

Hi !thanks for getting back to me so soon! Its a dell 926 AIO printer. I was having communication problems with it so (of course) following the wizard a deleted it then could not find the cd anywhere. When i go to the dell download site it won't let me. So frustrated!! Do not want to buy a new printer.

Go to the printer site for Drivers...

      Forget the Driver Wizard...it's useless.

        Dell doesn't make printers.

Double check all your cables for the printer, make sure they are connected and that the printer is turned on.

Is the printer a USB printer or parallel?

OK so i tried every suggestion that was given and i have to say some worked. I am very appreciative of any and all info that was sent to me. But i finally succumbed and called Dell. So to make a long story short, all this time my McAfee Firewall was preventing me from installing the printer. Isn't that what i asked in the first place? Anyway and hour or so later  :o i now have my printer working fine ;D  Thanks again for all your help
