Can't access anti-virus remove button.
« on: August 24, 2009, 11:37:04 PM »
I have a Dell Latitude laptop with XP loaded on it.  I picked up a virus which is automatically shutting the laptop down after it boots up.  I'm able to boot it up in the safe mode and then run an antivirus program which is XoftSpy.  The antivirus program found viruses but I can't get the window to move around so I can click on the remove button.  Am I doing something wrong?  The same thing happens when I run the McAffee program.  The lower part of the window where the remove viruses button is located is not accessable.

    You'll have to go here....

If you've lost your connection, download the programs to a USB stick on a good PC and transfer them to your PC.
If you have difficulty, you may have to run them in safe mode, tap F8 at start, .
If you have difficulty, you may have to rename the programs when you save them.
If you get stuck on a step, proceed to the next .

Post the logs for step 3,4 and 6.
