    Unbelievable Downloading speed!!!!!!!!

    I hope the picture is self explanatory , My internet is very fast but the downloads are horribly slow! I mean SOOOO Slow! I actually tried to download Trillian for almost 6 hours yesterday and then came back and it was 28% or something....I waited and waited (I have taken patience to a whole new level)......and finally it stopped downloading at 49%.......It placed an Icon on my desktop , when I tried to open it it said, 'file is corrupt'...anybody has any ideas what could be causing this?

    err, that's WAY below even dial-up... it's 26 bytes/sec, not kbps!

    That's all my uncle can catch in his river... he insists on using a shotgun, though.


    Ivy- does it do this with other computers connected to the same router/connection?

    Is the computer connected directly to a cable modem or DSL modem?  (There is no router between the computer and the modem, correct?)

      Do you have any other computers on your network??? If so are they having the same problem, or is it just the single computer???

      Is this a wired or wireless connection? Or do you have one of those 3G USB modems?

      I had the same problem. I was lucky enough to have a second backup connection and download the firmware update.  :o

        I'm using my cell phones Modem for Internet.

        It's unlimited internet with unlimited downloads.

            Maybe they're not a proponent of "network neutrality".
