Hopebot search fix
« on: September 11, 2009, 04:33:56 PM »
Google recently deprecated the search API that hopebot was using causing him to crash each time a search was being done. Unfortunately I couldn't get the new Google AJAX API to work from a command line after several hours of attempts therefore decided to switch to the Yahoo search API, which worked after first attempt. All search features previously supported by Hopebot will still work, e.g. "g computer help". It's just using the Yahoo Search now and will display "Yahoo results" instead of "Google results".

Everybody is a genius. But, if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life believing that it is stupid.
