Telnet help

I use Zap-o-Comm telnet program.  I have connected to a bbs using this program via laptop, and I connected fine.  During this time, I tried to connect via desktop, and it did not work.  Now, it is not working using my laptop.  When the connect fails, I get the following message:

FAIL: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

Any ideas?

BTW... Zap-o-Com goes by ZOC for short .. (if that helps, lol)
