My mother's computer is running a graphics test continually on the screen and when she logs off and logs back on it starts running again.  Alo the bottom bar with the start button did not load, hat can she do?

What happens if you try starting the computer in safe mode?

If you need help getting into safe mode, see this page:

1)Right click an open spot on the taskbar between start and time.

        2) Choose Task  Manager

        3) Look under the Application or Process tab for a runaway program using excessive  CPU time.

        4) Kill the application

        5) start, run [ msconfig ]

        6) Click the startup tab and remove runaway application.

        7) Remove application from control panel add/remove

        8) Remove/uninstall application from the start menu

        9) Run all anti virus programs
