Well, I've finally made it!

I'll list some specs - and the pictures will come hopefully over the weekend when I get time.

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965
Motherboard: Gigabyte MA790XT-UD4P
RAM: 6 GB OCZ DDR3 Tri-channel PC3-12800C8
HDD: 1 TB Samsung Spinpoint F3
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-S223B DVD+/- Multi-rewriter
Case: Antec Nine Hundred
Monitor: 23" Acer v233Hb 1080p HD
Graphics: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5750 1 GB GDDR5 PCI-E, DirectX 11
PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

Well, it was a bit of a hairy experience at first, but when I got into it, it wasn't too bad. Basic first-timer stuff I suppose.

What are you using for an optical drive, audio and network?

Optical drive is above.

Samsung SH-S223B DVD+/- R(W)

Audio is onboard. So is network - I don't need an NIC because the only way I can connect to the Internet is via a 3G USB modem.

I was pretty sure you were only using the onboard for the other two, but thought I would ask anyway.

No problem.

It was just over €1200 - including delivery (which was fairly expensive).

Ah, it looks like the driver for my phone isn't installing properly. I'll have to get them onto the laptop and transfer them instead.

Well, I take that back. Finally got the time to go about getting it to work and I did just that - eventually.

I got the same sort of feeling after finishing my build. Nothing seemed to go wrong at all; well, not counting the fact that I completely forgot to install the memory the first time. (which wasn't really that annoying, since I always test stuff by leaving the case open to make sure it boots and everything. Just had to open the RAM packages and plop them in and I was off installing Vista.

Screenshot is 1920x1080. Probems with fixed width sites though, especially the 800px ones.

I got in a awful mess when I was asked'd the answer to 12-5, I figgered, we had 12 pigs, if I jus' slaughter 5 of em, wat's left is the answer, but I get's there, and I has 13 pigs, and I counts again, still 13 pigs, I was flubberghosted, I was. Den I looks closer, on of em' hogs is mah' grandpappy, dun sleepin in the hay the lazy old man. So I jus' kicks him in the shins, then I forgets what I was doin, and slaughta all the hawgs wiff mah penknife, boy howdy, was mah old man mad dat day, didn't get my own horse like I was spose'd to that year, paps was all in a huff due to mah killing of the hogs for no reason and all.

Just set up a dual boot with Ubuntu 9.10 on a 21 gig partition. Trying to get to grips now with Linux!
