No need to remove CCleaner. It's a multi-purpose maintenance tool. Even if you don't use it's registry cleaner, its other features make it quite worth keeping. And, while I agree with the general view of other forum members about avoiding registry cleaners, CCleaner's registry cleaning tool is safe. I've used it scores of times over a period of several years and never had any problem whatsoever with it, and so have thousands of other users. I do heed CCleaner's prompting to backup the registry before telling CCleaner to go ahead and remove the items it found; this is just good practice any time you're dealing with the registry.
