Irc Port
« on: November 14, 2009, 10:27:55 AM »
I have an IRC client app, and it doesn't have a default source for mibbit. When I tried to add mibbit, it asks for a port. Mibbit doesn't list what it is. Does anyone know?

May need to put the port in the address, something like: IRC://irc.mibbit.com:6667

What's the application you're trying to use?

I believe it is irc.mibbit.net ,  but either seems to work.

For SSL though,  try port 6697.
If not using SSL,  then use port 6667.

Let us know if that helps.

Which client are you trying out?

It's IRChon. A free app.

I will try port 6697, because SSL is on, then try the default one with SSL off. Then I will try with irc.mibbit.net.

EDIT: got it port 6697 ssl on at irc.mibbit.com
