...they said they found three blown capacitors on the motherboard and stopped at that point.  I have it hooked back up and am still having the same problem.  I did have a USB port in the back that had the printer plugged into it.  The machine sees the printer, but not the External DVD burner.  I am going to return the DVD burner and try another one.  I don't understand why machine nr 1 sees it and it works fine, but I'm going to try it anyway.
Which caps, near the USB port or near the CPU?  Did they replace them or not?  If not, can you take a pic and post?  At least you can take the burner back.
