    Audacity
    « on: December 28, 2009, 09:31:55 AM »
I'm running Win 7 & was wondering if anyone know's if the Audacity software will work? It list's Vista, but not 7. How about the beta version?  The software would only be used to transfer some of my old cassettes to my hard drive if I can figure out how to do it.

Without the site providing information explicit to Windows 7 I could only recommend that you try it.

There's no reason why it shouldn't work. You can always run it in compatibility mode. Windows 7 (32 bit) runs pretty much everything Vista & XP did.

Sorry, but I should have mentioned I'm running 64 bit. It also show's to have a compatability mode.

I'd guess it will still work - download a trial version. 64 bit is a little more finicky than 32 bit, but again - most standard apps should be fine.
