What does that mean, something happened?

Also, boot to the Recovery Console and run chkdsk /r

like i was scanning my computer and it was getting rid of malware, then it said to reboot the computer for it to be fixed and i did, then when it booted up, the microsoft security never came up, and it wouldnt open.

                1) Follow instructions. Boot to the Recovery Console and run chkdsk /r. If you can't boot to a CD then go to START - RUN and type: chkdsk /r and press ENTER. You'll be asked if you want to run it at the next boot - say yes.

                2) Your system may still be infected. Go to the Malware forum on this site and follow the instructions at the top of the page.
