How do I get IE 8 OFF MY COMPUTER! It SUCKS!

I downloaded IE 8 and I hate it. It sucks, whenever I go to google and do a search, if I click on a link in the search results, it takes me to some other search engine page. I also can't ever get on Walmart.com, no matter what I do, if I click on a link somewhere or if I actually manually enter www.walmart.com, it opens a box on my screen about saving or opening a file. I tried to do a system restore, but that didn't work either, because I couldn't open internet explorer at all when I did that. I just want this stupid program off my computer, I want to go back to IE 7.

ADD / REMOVE if XP, Programs & Features if Vista or 7 - but IE8 isn't the problem.

Agree. Sounds more like malware and configuration issues. reverting to IE7 won't fix the problem, and switching to another browser merely obscures it.

I didn't have one of these problems before I downloaded IE 8. Can you elaborate on what it may be and how I might fix it?

Run a check with SuperAntiSpyware AND Malwarebytes

i agree it sucks, ive tried every cleaning program , evrey thing that promeses faster and better service and nothing works. i want ie7 back. does anyone have any other suggestions

Try Mozilla Firefox. When it asks if you want to make it your default browser, check yes. I agree  all versions of IE are a POS, and I seldon use it.

Actually, IE2 was alright.

I like the features, the tool bar, the fact that if you get kicked offline it'll take you back to where you were instead of having to start all over, but I just don't like that I can't get to my search results when I search for something on google. And I ran my programs, Malwarebytes and Super Antispyware, and they did pretty much what they always do: waste a ton of time and help with nothing.

IE is not your best choice - get FireFox (or Opera or try the new Google browser, Chrome, which I've found to be the fastest of all of them).

Try posting in the Computer Viruses and Spyware section and have an EXPERT look at your logs. Search engine redirection is basically a guarenteed way of knowing you're infected.

You're using XP right?
Do this: Click Start -->Control Panel -->Add/Remove Programs. Find IE8 in the list and remove it. Restart your computer. It will automatically roll back to IE7.

This works great, not a lot of know how needed. I hope this helps and you should use firefox, quicker and easier.
