Windows error, messed up task manager

I have a Compaq desktop with windows xp. I have a problem of an error message popping up saying windows has caused an error and needs to close.  My task manager is also screwed up, it has changed the way it looks. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!

What protection apps do you have and when were they last updated and ran ? ?

I did have windows one care  which updated and scanned everyday but it messed up the same time this happened. I got bitdefender now which did find 2 tojans on first scan  and i use windows malicious software removal tool.

Also run a full scan with MalwareBytes

You need to replace Live OneCare with something that's supported.
