Help with a program that won't stay open when installed!!

I installed this software on my house computer and used it a few times a couple months ago.  I need it again and every time I open it the main part of the program pops up but when I click the section I need it pops up and then disappears real fast.  I even tried installing in on my laptop but had the same results. I realllly need this to work and I'm getting pretty desperate here.. any help would be GREATLY appreciated.. thanks

Well the actual name of the program would be nice. No one can give you much help without knowing what program you are trying to install. Maybe run as an administrator?

Just tell us what the program is and whether it is an original, retail product or something you downloaded from the web.
