    Connecting a Dell Ubuntu netbook to wireless router

    I can get it to connect, but every time I shut it down and restart it I have to go through all sorts of hoops to get it connected.  Is there a way for it to connect automatically to my network?  There should be, but for the life of me I cannot figure it out.  I'm not a computer noob, but am very new to wireless networks.  The netbook involved is running Ubuntu 8.04 LTS.  Thanks if anyone can help!

      Uh, yeah.  How about telling it to automatically connect to the network?  That works.  Sorry to trouble anybody who bothered to read my post.  In my defense, it was very frustrating though and I am pretty computer savvy (including Linux which the netbook has).  Issue solved.  Finally...
