The audio mixer device that I have is Realtek AC97 Audio. Lately, whenever I try to play an audio file I find that I get the message under Sound and Audio Device Properties that No Audio Device found and the pop up message that I get when I try to play an audio file is, "No Audio Mixer." I then reinstall the Realtek ac97 audio drivers and restart the computer and then everything is fine. The problem is that the Audio mixer/device keeps disappearing from Windows quite frequently now and I have to repeat the drivers' reinstalling process more often now. Could anyone tell me how to rectify the situation on a more permanent basis?
