My new rig specs
« on: January 27, 2010, 10:02:02 PM »
Well i built my first actual rig just a couple months ago. Ordered parts off of newegg tigerdirect and frozencpu.com. Heres the specs:

-Acer 23" HD monitor

-Evga 750i SLI ftw motherboard
-4gb of ddr2 mushkin blackline RAM
-Intel core 2 duo E7500 overclocked to 3.4gHz
-Two Nvidia Geforce 9600GT's in SLI
-500 Watt Antec power supply
-Cooler master V8 heat sink

And its all wrapped up in a Cooler master storm scout case. Its a great rig and very fast. It just crushes through everything I throw at it.

Heh, I felt the same way and still do with mine... I still worry, "Oh, there's no way that will run on my computer"... or I think I might have to reduce the detail to get it running smoothly... but every game I've run on here has run perfectly fine.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

Haha yea. I dont even know why i overclocked it. And i guess i didn't need SLI either. When I first built it I didn't have The second card but even with one I could still run Modern Warfare 2 at full settings. I also was using some cheap RAM when I first built it. Neglecting the RAM was a mistake but i fixed that quickly with some higher performance RAM.

Sounds like a great setup. I've got you added to the SBCC. Welcome.
