Quake 2 overview
With the great success of Quake, Quake 2 quickly became a much anticipated sequel. Like its predecessor, Quake 2 is a first-person shooting game. Quake 2 features include:
- Rotating models - Objects such as doors and platforms can rotate.
- Hierarchical models - Parts of objects can be separated, such as the limbs of a creature.
- Translucency - New shaders provide reflections, glows, and other optical effects on transparent objects.
- New weapons - An assortment of new weapons is available.

Note: Quake 2 is available for Apple. However, the system requirements are unknown.
Note: Quake 2 is not available for Linux. Consider using Wine to run Windows programs and games.
The following commands need to be entered in the game console to activate the cheat:

|/notarget||No Target mode|
|/give all||Get all weapons and ammo|
|/give weapons||Get all weapons (no ammo)|
|/give ammo||Get all ammo (no weapons)|
|/give health||Get +100 health|
|/give armor||Get +200 Body Armor|
|/give invulnerability||Get Invulnerability|
The following commands provide items that are not given with the /give all command:
|/give airstrike marker||Get Airstrike Marker|
|/give blue key||Get Blue key|
|/give red key||Get Red key|
|/give security pass||Get Security Pass|
|/give commander's head||Get Commander's Head|
|/give power shield||Get Power Shield|
|/give armor shard||Get Armor Shard|
|/give combat armor||Get Combat Armor|
You can also enter /give followed by a space and the name of the item, including weapons and other in-game useable items, to get that item.
