How to change the title of an MS-DOS window
Updated: 01/24/2018 by Computer Hope
In Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP and above users can change their MS-DOS window title by using the MS-DOS title command. By default, the Windows command prompt window shows "Command Prompt" as seen in the picture.
If you wanted to name an MS-DOS or Windows command line window to "Computer Hope" type the command shown in the example below.
title Computer Hope
Changing the title of your window is a great and easy way to know what is in each command line window if you have multiple command lines open at the same time.
