How to remove the clipboard toolbar feature from Office 2000

To disable the clipboard toolbar in Microsoft Office, you must edit the registry.

  1. Close all Microsoft Office programs.
  2. Click Start, Run, and type "Regedit" and click ok to open the Windows Registry Editor.
  3. Open the below folders:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\
Software\
Microsoft\
Office\
9.0\
Common\
General\
  1. Once in the General folder click Edit from the drop-down menu, click New and then DWORD Value.
  2. For the name of the new DWORD, type: Acbcontrol
  3. Double-click Acbcontrol to edit it. Change the value to 1, and click OK.
  4. Close the Registry Editor.

Once the steps above are completed, your Office programs should no longer display the Microsoft Office clipboard toolbar.
