Show unused drives in Windows

In Windows 7, Microsoft has hidden all drives in the Computer that are not currently being used.

Local Disk (C:) in Windows

To show the unused drives, follow the steps below.

  1. Click Start.
  2. Type in Windows Explorer in the Windows Search Box.
  3. Click on Windows Explorer or highlight it and then press Enter.
  4. Click on Tools. Note: if your toolbar is not showing at the top of your screen, press the Alt key and it should appear.
  5. Click on Folder Options.
  6. Click View.
  7. Click the check box next to hide empty drives to uncheck the box.
  8. Click Apply.
  9. Click Ok.
