To make your copy of Windows a genuine version run the Windows update tool on your computer and verify the validity of Windows. If Microsoft determines your Windows operating system to be invalid, it prompts you to activate Windows on your computer.
How to activate Windows
To activate Windows on your computer, press Windows key+I to open Settings. Or, open the Start menu and click the gear icon.
In Settings, click Update & Security.
On the left, click Activation.
If Windows is not activated on your computer, an error notification is displayed in yellow on the right. Follow the instructions and use the provided links to find the information you must activate Windows.
