How to unblock a phone number

If you accidentally blocked a phone number on your smartphone, the following sections can show you how to unblock it. To proceed, select your phone's operating system from the list below and follow the instructions for your device.

Unblock a phone number on an Android

1. On your home screen, tap the phone icon.

2. At the bottom of the screen, tap Recents.

3. Locate the phone number you want to unblock.
4. Tap and hold the phone number. In the menu that pops up, tap Unblock.

5. In the following menu that pops up, tap Unblock to confirm unblocking the number.

Unblock a phone number on an iPhone

1. On your home screen, tap the phone icon.

2. At the bottom of the screen, tap Recents.

3. Locate the phone number you want to unblock.
4. Tap the information icon to the right of the number.
5. On the screen that pops up, tap Unblock this Caller.
