Absolute unit

Updated: 10/03/2024 by Computer Hope

With measurements, an absolute unit or fixed unit is a measurement that doesn't change and always remains the same value. For example, with font sizes, cm (centimeters), px (pixels), and pt (points) are all fixed-sized fonts. Unlike a font that uses a relative unit, these fonts remain the same size regardless of the screen size.
